Cannes Lions has released the 2019 Global Creativity Report, with India ranking #11 in the world. Dentsu Webchutney Bengaluru emerged as No. 1 agency in India followed by FCB Ulka Delhi and Mindshare Mumbai at No. 2 and 3, respectively.

This year also saw the rise of the underdogs while the big agency or networks failed to make a mark. While Dentsu Webchutney won six Lions and FCB Ulka won the face-saver Gold for the country, Ogilvy India had no show despite three shortlists.
If we look at the top Indian agencies for the last three years, Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai, the No. 1 agency of 2017 and 2018, has not featured in top 10 this year.
The creative hotshops such as BBDO India, Taproot Dentsu, Cheil, W+K, Medulla, L&K Saatchi & Saatchi who performed almost consistently well at Cannes Lions are also absent from this year’s top-10 agencies list.
