Mekin Maheshwari and Anjali Bansal invest in UrbanClap

Mekin Maheshwari, former Chief People Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Flipkart, who is currently leading an NGO named Udhyam Learning Foundation, has invested Rs 50 lakh in UrbanClap, India's largest home services marketplace. Additionally, Anjali Bansal, founder of Avaana Capital has also invested Rs 99 lakh through her personal investment fund SAB Holdings.

With his investment, Mekin and Anjali join UrbanClap's other distinguished angel investors,  including Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart, amongst others.

Backed by the likes of Steadview Capital, Vy Capital, SAIF Partners, Accel and Bessemer Venture Partners, UrbanClap currently has more than 20,000 individual service professionals (ISPs) on its platform across categories such as beauty, spa, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance servicing & repair, and painting.
