Colors Bangla's new show Kanak Kakan is a story of two sisters

Infusing a fresh perspective on family ties and sacrifice, Colors Bangla will bring the story of the unbreakable bond between two sisters through its new show ‘Kanak Kakan’. Scheduled to launch on the Bengali New Year, the show celebrates the struggle of two sisters and how they stand by each other against all adversities. The show produced by Snehasish Chakroborty will go on air from April 15, every Monday to Saturday at 8 pm.

The sisters, Kanak and Kakan, are connected by a deep bond, especially after the passing away of their parents. Kanak, the younger sister, is a sprinter and Kakan is a very good dancer. Though Kakan has lungs problem, yet she teaches in dancing schools as well as participates in functions to make ends meet. She tries her best to fulfil her father’s desire to see her younger sister become a successful sprinter. The story sees the comeback of actress Shweta Bhattacharya as Kakan and Srabani Bhunia plays the role of Kanak.

Along with Shweta Bhattacharya, Srabani Bhunia, Kanak Kakan will feature artists Chaitali Chakroborty, Dipankar De, Apurva, Suvonkar and others.
