Leo Burnett India has created a film to announce the launch of online music streaming player Spotify in India. The agency’s Mumbai office will lead the business.
Leo Burnett was chosen as the creative agency because of its core belief in the HumanKind philosophy, which is not about advertising or brand propositions or marketing but about people and purpose. This approach to creativity resonated with Spotify, which has always embraced unconventional ways of marketing and providing meaningful experiences instead of advertising.
Speaking on the launch of the Spotify India campaign, Rajdeepak Das MD India and Chief Creative Officer South Asia, Leo Burnett, said, “Personally I am myself a big user and fan of Spotify. If music is life for you then there is good news for you, welcome to a better life. We are super excited to be partnering with this brand in India. Spotify is a pioneer in the music streaming space and it is going to revolutionise this experience in India. The brand always stood for artists and musicians round the world and that shows its commitment for music and creators. Like once someone wrote, here comes the sun.”
Dheeraj Sinha, MD, India and Chief Strategy Officer, South Asia, Leo Burnett, said, “At Leo Burnett, we particularly enjoy the challenge of building new categories and helping our clients become the leader of the category. Spotify is the global pioneer of the music streaming category. The product experience is absolutely awesome and the brand is truly cutting edge. We are very excited to partner with Spotify in India in their journey to spread the love for music.”
