‘The Remix’ by Greymatter Entertainment is the only shortlist from India this year at the New York Festivals Television & Film Awards 2019. The film has been shortlisted in the Performing Arts category

The Grand Jury, comprised of prominent executives from the international broadcast and film industry, selected this year’s Finalists from entries submitted from 50 countries.

Content from around the globe advanced to the medal round including primetime entertainment, documentaries, investigative journalism, sports coverage, promos, and brand image films.

Longform Documentaries Finalists include: Hope & Fury MLK, The Movement and The Media” (NBC News), “Norway´s Magical Fjords” (nautilusfilm GmbH), “Attenborough´s Ant Mountain” (Terra Mater Factual Studios GmbH), Momentum Generations (HBO), “America’s Musical Journey” (MacGillivray Freeman Films), “The Lost Tapes: Malcolm X “(1895 Films/Smithsonian), “The Wild Andes” (Light and Shadow GmbH/Smithsonian Networks), “Sharkwater Extinction” (Sharkwater Productions), and “Silicon Valley: The Untold Story - "Secret Sauce" (Science Channel).

Entertainment Finalists include: “Peaky Blinders” (Endemol Shine International), “The Durrells” (Sid Gentle Films), “Mystery Road” (all3 Media International), “Gunpowder” (Endemol Shine International); El Recluso (NBCUniversal International/Telemundo), “SOY LUNA SEASON 3” (The Walt Disney Company LATAM) and “A Capital Fourth” (Capital Concerts Inc./PBS), “Barefoot Contessa: Cook Like A Pro” (Pacific Television/Food Network),“MasterChef USA Season 9” (Endemol Shine International/Fox), “Britain's Best Home Cook Season 1 (Endemol Shine International/BBC), “Total Bellas” (WWE/E!), “Deadliest Catch” (Discovery Channel), “Detective Yugami” (Fuji Television Network, Inc.), “The Councilman” (Endemol Shine International) and “Archer” (Endemol Shine International).

Broadcast Journalism Finalists include: Mediacorp Pte Ltd, Channel NewsAsia, ABS-CBN, Voice of America, GMA Network, Inc., BBC, Sky News, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, SBS, Radio Television Hong Kong, RT America, ORF, Antena 3, Now News Channel, and CGTN America.

2018’s Broadcaster of the Year Al Jazeera English Finalists included: Al Jazeera English’s current affairs and investigative journalism programs, “101 East,” and “Al Jazeera Investigations,” “Witness,” a documentary series examining world issues and “Fault Lines,” currentaffairs and documentary series.

Sports Finalists include: “MLB Network Presents: Only In Hollywood” (MLB Network),  “30 for 30” and “Basketball: A Love Story” (ESPN Films), “Andre the Giant” (WWE/HBO Sports), ESPN Features - Sunday NFL Countdown: The Art of Inspiration” and ESPN Features - SC Featured: Life on the Bubble” (ESPN Productions, Inc.), “CNN World Sport: NHL's Global Game” (CNN), “Outside the Team” (TV4), Skate Pelas Sombras” (Globosat),  and “Unstoppable” (ZDF).

Promo Finalists include: “Patrick Melrose: London Calling” (Showtime), “The Dark Knight - "Gotham Saturday Night"(Corus Entertainment Inc.), “RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 4 - Music Video” (VH1), “37th Hong Kong Film Awards” (Starhub Cable Vision), “Robot Wars” (BBC Studios), “10 Cloverfield Lane Web Campaign” (FOX Networks Group Latin America), “Vis A Vis III” (FNG Spain), “The Bi Life” (NBC Universal), FIFA 2018 (RT), “Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018” (ZDF), and “This Is CBS News” (CBS).

Corporate Image Finalists include: “Meet Amy,” “Have You Heard?” and “A Big Difference” (The Edge Picture Company), “Mr. Renton” (Media Zoo Ltd.), “Best In Town: Puerto Rico” (Kaleidoscope Productions), “Hearts and Minds" (Al Dente Entertainment GmbH), “Diageo International Womens Day” (Quite Frankly Productions), “GSK Brand - Vaccinate for Life” (Radley Yedlar), “Daimler Corporate Movie 2018” (die paten film & postproduction GmbH), “The Burley Farmer” (Resonate Pictures Inc.), “Your leadership: Our future” (BP International), and “We are Avanos” (MerchantCantos).

Entries submitted to the 2019 TV & Film Awards competition were judged online and screened by New York Festivals Television & Film Awards Grand Jury of 200 plus producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe. To view all the 2019 Finalists, visit: HERE.

The TV & Film Awards gala will take place at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday April 9th, 2019. NYF and their official partner, NAB Show will present the competition to more than 100,000 attendees from 165 countries and 1,700+ exhibiting companies.
