CID, one of the highly watched crime-based shows which was first aired in 1997 is going off air soon. But fans of the cult classic need not be disappointed because the show is only going on an “intermittent break” according to Sony.

The show that features Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman and Aditya Srivastava along with Dayanand Shetty as Senior Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya, will air its last episode before it goes on a break on October 27.

“Having completed 20 years, CID, is the longest running cult show on Sony Entertainment Television. It has been a great journey so far, along with Fireworks Productions, and CID will now take an intermittent break starting October 28, 2018. The last episode of the show will be aired on October 27, 2018. The show will gear up for a renewed season with a lot more contextual cases keeping alive the thrill that the audience has experienced so far,” said the official statement from the channel.
