Yashwant Deshmukh, Founder, C-Voter, said, “The Siyasat Ka Sensex is a ground-breaking effort by ABP and CVoter in terms of Data Journalism in India. Based on the methodology and technology used in our daily tracker for US Presidential elections in 2012 and 2016, the Daily State Tracker for Rajasthan, MP and Chattisgarh are a first of its kind exercise ever taken up in Indian Media. It will change the way public perception is tracked in India in a thorough scientific approach.”
Methodology:
Current projections are based on ABP/CVoter daily tracking poll conducted during last seven days among 18+ adults statewide, including likely voters. The data is weighted to the known demographic profile of the States. In this way, the opinion data provides the closest possible trends. The Tracking Poll Fieldwork covers random probability samples during the last seven days from the release date. The sample spread is across all assembly segments in the poll bound states. MoE is +/- 3% at macro level and +/- 5% at micro level with 95% confidence interval.
