Suvarna News and Kannada Prabha present SME Awards in association with KASSIA

With the aim to promote small scale industries, the awards ceremony was held at KASSIA Bhavan, Bengaluru. There were 34 winners and runner-ups in 17 different categories, six special awards and one KASSIA Rathna Award

For the second year, Kannada news TV channel Suvarna News and Kannada Prabha, a daily in Karnataka, successfully presented SME Awards (Small & Medium Sizes Enterprises) in association with KASSIA (Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association).

SME Awards felicitate small-scale industrialists for their un-recognised efforts in their respective segments, be it agricultural equipment, chemical industry, tool-making, etc. The primary objective is to promote the development of small scale industries by co-operating with industrial, business, educational and research institutions and other organisations and help in expanding the business opportunities.

The event was held on July 14 at KASSIA Bhavan, Bengaluru, with more than 500 members and non-members. There were 34 winners and runner -ups in 17 different categories, six special awards and one KASSIA Rathna Award.

K J George, Karnatakas’s Minister of Large and Medium Industry; S R Srinivas State Minister of Small Scale Industries; Abhijit Majumder, Chief General Manager, SBI, Bengaluru Circle; Mohammed Mansoor Khan, MD & CEO, IMA Group of Companies and Panish P K, Regional Sales Director and Business Head, India and SAARC, BOSCH Power Tools were present.

Ravi Hegde, Editor-in-Chief, Suvarna News and Kannada Prabha, felicitated the winners at the awards ceremony.
