Global trade association for the mobile marketing industry Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has announced two senior leadership appointments in India as it enters its next phase of growth in the country. The association has appointed Moneka Khurana as Country Head in India and Namita Ved as Head of Business Development and Operations, India.
Khurana will oversee the growth of the MMA brand in India and drive the development of mobile marketing across the country. She is responsible for the education of mobile marketing and the adoption of best practices to increase the size of India’s mobile market and spend.
Ved will be responsible for building a stronger and wider MMA membership base, raising the profile of MMA’s industry events and managing event sponsorships.
Khurana has over 17 years of online and marketing experience. She has been an entrepreneur and edupreneur for the last five years, running a digital training and consulting firm. As an entrepreneur, she has also launched India’s first online kids costumes and partywear rental platform. She was previously the Business Head at Quasar where she oversaw P&L for the western region, driving client acquisition and engagement across diverse sectors. Khurana has also held leadership roles at DRAFT+fcbulka Advertising Pvt Ltd, and Intercept.
“I’m really excited to embark on this new role at MMA. India is one of the fastest growing markets for mobile, and exciting days are ahead for the mobile marketing industry. MMA can play a very crucial role in enabling best practices, benchmarks and education to leverage the inorganic growth. Ved brings with her 10 years of experience in events, digital media, business development, and marketing. With a passion to build brands and head new initiatives, she has taken on Marketing & Communications lead roles across companies like Vserv and AdColony.
“I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to grow the MMA brand in India and the region. I look forward to working closely with Moneka, as we drive the business into the next phase. The mobile marketing industry has certainly taken off in a massive way, and we will continue pushing boundaries in the region,” added Ved.
