Meera Iyer quits bigbasket.com to join jewellery start-up Melorra

Meera Iyer, who was Head of Marketing at bigbasket.com, has quit the organisation to join jewellery start-up Melorra.

After a stint of about two-and-a-half years, Iyer will be joining Melorra as Head of Marketing but will be taking up a lot more responsibilities at the organisation.

“I am excited to begin a new chapter with Melorra. It's a fantastic concept of bridging the jewelry gap for the modern woman's wardrobe and I expect the industry to transform the way apparels did," said Iyer.

Iyer will take on her new role at Melorra from June 13.

A Bengaluru-based start-up, Melorra specialises in demi-fine jewellery made for the contemporary and modern woman. The brand’s founder Saroja Yeramilli is also the person behind Tanishq.

Prior to her role at bigbasket.com, Iyer was with Unilever for about nine years, serving at various positions.
