Dolby’s Mono and Mr Chaubey are back with a rib-tickling tale that highlights Dolby’s superior sound quality. After a hiatus of a few years, Dolby Audio has brought its famous duo back for the campaign titled ‘Ghar Pe Dolby Hai Kya?’
The digital ad film, conceptualised and produced by Supari Studios, tells the story of Mono and Mr Chaubey’s neighbour who invites them over to his house to watch a cricket match together. While the neighbour tries everything, he is not able to rouse the interest of a bored Mono. At last, Mr Chaubey takes it upon himself to fix the problem. Mono and Mr Chaubey realise that the problem is the sound. They quickly fix the problem with Dolby surround sound.
Commenting on the campaign, Ashim Mathur, Senior Director, Marketing, Emerging Markets, Dolby Laboratories, said, “Dolby Audio has been adopted by India’s leading CE companies, broadcasters and operators, to provide consumers with premium quality surround sound for a great living room experience. Our campaign ‘Ghar Pe Dolby Hai Kya?’ is aimed at building awareness for quality audio in home entertainment to make the entertainment you love even better. It will help educate consumers on how they can get more from entertainment.”
On being asked why they chose to stick with Mono and Mr Chaubey, Mathur said, “Mono and Mr Chaubey have been the protagonists to this campaign from the very beginning ever since it was launched in 2015. The idea of continuing to include them in this phase of the campaign is the relatability they have with the messaging of the campaign. We wouldn’t want to make changes to a campaign that is already doing so well over the years!”
