To be launched on May 28, the show will be telecast on the early evening prime time slot of 7pm.

Kamali is about the life of a village girl played by adroit actor Amulya, and her family hailing from a remote village in Karnataka. Kamali is a kabaddi player enthusiast and dreams to excel in both worlds, as a student and a sportsperson. However, the bitter past of her mother holds her back from embracing her skills. With a supporting grandfather and teacher, Kamali goes on to participate in a very important kabaddi game that opens new avenues for her. She gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move to the city and continue her education through a scholarship and life is never the same again for Kamali and her family.

She is constantly bullied in college by her rival Anika, portrayed by actor Rachana. Kamali later finds out that Deepika is her half-sister. Making things far more complicated, a love triangle emerges between Kamali, Anika and Rishi, essayed by actor Niranjan. What’s in store for Kamali now? The way Kamali’s life changes after the revelation of the truth, and its effect on her family, forms the crux of the story.

Raghavendra Hunsur, Business Head, Zee Kannada, said, “Zee Kannada is always known for its unique plots and characters. With the launch of Kamali, we wish to create a positive impact on our viewers and in-turn transform our society for the better.
