IPL 11 registers 14% growth in viewership for first 52 matches

For nine matches played in the sixth week of the IPL11, the growth in viewership stands at 16%

The first 52 matches in Indian Premier League (IPL) 11 witnessed 14% higher viewership, compared to the first 52 matches of IPL 10 (All India 2+). The viewership for these matches grew from 1.07 billion Impressions in IPL 10 to 1.22 billion Impressions in IPL 11.

The nine matches (match 44-52) played in the sixth week of the IPL11 garnered 194.5 million Impressions against 168.2 million Impressions for the same number of matches in IPL10, up by 16%.

These matches were played between May 12 and 18, that was captured by BARC in week 20 of 2018.

The most-watched match of week six in IPL 11 was the one played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad that clocked 26.372 million Impressions. The one played between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians, stood second with 25.577 million Impressions.

The third most-watched match was Mumbai Indians versus Rajasthan Royals which garnered 23.698 million Impressions.

IPL 10 was telecast on Sony Max, Sony Six (SD+HD), Sony ESPN (SD+HD) and IPL 11 is being telecast on Star Sports 1 (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Hindi (SD+HD), Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports Select 1 (SD+ HD), Star Suvarna Plus, Star Maa Movies, Star Jalsha and one match with a delayed feed on DD Sports.
