Prega News supports new moms making a comeback at work

Conceptualised by ADK-Fortune, the second leg of #YourSecondHome campaign brings an important issue to light and endeavours to turn corporates into support groups for women with postpartum depression

Moving the corporate sensitisation conversation from pregnancy to post pregnancy and taking up the issue of postpartum depression, Prega News, the pregnancy detection card marketed by Mankind Pharmaceuticals, has launched the second leg of #YourSecondHome campaign.

This time it is targeting a much serious issue of postpartum depression. As per research, one in five new moms in India suffers from postpartum depression.

And most of them join back work having not completely recovered from or aware that they are suffering from postpartum depression, making them prone to insecurity, irritability, loss in confidence and misunderstandings at the workplace.

The #YourSecondHome campaign brings this important issue to light and endeavours to turn corporates into support groups for women with postpartum depression.

Rajeev Juneja, CEO, Mankind Pharma, said, “Last year, we took on the social responsibility of sensitising workplaces towards pregnant women. As a sequel to our corporate behaviour change effort, this time we wanted to speak to new moms making a comeback at work which led us to postpartum depression and the taboo attached to it. Taking out philosophy of serving life further, we decided to bring it to light.”

The campaign has been conceptualised and executed by ADK-Fortune. Akashneel Dasgupta, ECD and Sr. VP, ADK Fortune, said, “A new mom goes through a lot, and not just physically. The importance of her mental well-being deserves a conversation as well. Women with postpartum depression, on resuming work go through a lot, and lack of awareness/sensitivity of her peers will make her condition worse. This is our humble attempt not to let that happen.”

The campaign is timed around Women’s Day and would be supported with other communication stimuli apart from the film.
