Laqshya Media group acquires Digitalabs

The 21-year-old communications conglomerate Laqshya Media Group has announced the acquisition of Digitalabs, the digital marketing agency based in Noida.

Known in the field of OOH and a recipient of a number of awards in the events and experiential marketing space during 2016 and 2017, this acquisition marks the acceleration of the group’s ambition to make its mark in the digital marketing domain too.

The seven-year-old Digitalabs, co-founded by Rakesh Tulsiani and Agam Chaudhary, is based in Noida and is known for its solution-based approach towards digital marketing.  With over 40 employees, Digitalabs handles clients across multiple categories like electronics, finance, travel, education, insurance and serves clients in overseas markets like Australia, New Zealand, UK and Singapore apart from India. Digitalabs has a mobile-first approach, and all digital strategies are built targeting the mobile generation.

Rakesh Tulsiani, COO of the division, said, “For years, Digitalabs has facilitated brands with conceptualising and implementing fully integrated digital marketing strategies which stem from nothing but data and numbers. We plan to continue the same mission as part of Laqshya Media Group. Sharing the same set of values, partnering with them will not only strengthen our base, it’ll add to the diversity of customers we’ll serve.”

Agam Chaudhary, Co-founder, Digitalabs, and now CMO of the division, said, “At Digitalabs we’ve always been a technology-driven digital marketing solutions company and with Laqshya, while we strengthen that, our clients will now reap the benefits of getting serviced by a much bigger agency with further specialised and integrated solutions. Digitalabs as part of Laqshya will now go on to define the next generation of digital marketing.”

Commenting on the acquisition, Alok Jalan, Managing Director, Laqshya Media Group, said, “This is a natural corollary to our expansion into all communication platforms that help our clients engage with the Millennials. Technology will be at the centre of all our offerings to our clients and Digitalabs’ first mandate is to look at convergence between OOH, experiential and digital.”

With offices in 25 cities and over 300 employees, the Laqshya Group works with over 200 blue chip corporates across all its divisions.
