Zee Telugu, the leading Telugu General Entertainment Channel (GEC) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, is launching a new fiction show titled Evare Nuvvu Mohini. A story with layers of emotions and clashing ideologies, Evare Nuvvu Mohini revolves around Vasu and his conniving stepmother, Raja Rajeshwari. The show is an addition to the channel’s evening segment and will air from December 11, every Monday to Friday, at 8.30 pm. It will replace Punnaga, which will now be aired at 6.30 pm.
Ali Reza, who is known for his role in ‘Pasupu Kumkuma’, plays the lead as Vasu. Sireesha from the ‘Kalavari Kodallu’ fame plays the role of Mohini and Pranavi, who played young Radha in ‘Suryavamsham’ is Vennela in the show.
Commenting on the new launch, Anuradha Gudur, Business Head, Zee Telugu, said, “We at Zee Telugu are known for our story telling and differential treatment with our multi-genre offerings and are confident that the launch of Evare Nuvvu Mohini will add to the excitement. The plot has been crafted in such a way that it has the right balance of drama and entertainment for our viewers. The show is a remake of ‘Yaridi Nee Mohini’, which has a proven record in Zee Tamil and we are confident that it works here as well.”
Speaking on portraying Vasu’s character, Ali Reza said, “I had earlier worked for Pasupu Kumkuma and my association with Zee Telugu is very special. Coming back with Evare Nuvvu Mohini as Vasu is very exciting. Vasu is a multi-faceted character and has a lot of scope for me to showcase as a character and is quite unique from the characters shown on Telugu television screen. I am hoping that this would be welcomed by the audiences and am very happy to be part of Zee Kutumbam once again.”
As the story goes, Vasu is the heir to the abundant ancestral property that his father left him with. Having lost his mother at a young age, Vasu was raised by his stepmother, Raja Rajeshwari, who isn’t the person that she portrays to be. On one hand, Vasu has blindly trusted her all his life and in his eyes, she can do no wrong. On the other hand, Raja Rajeshwari is secretly scheming to get her hands on the ancestral property. Rajeshwari cleverly plans the murder of Vasu’s wife Mohini and plot takes a turn when she realises that Vasu’s wife must sign any document related to the property. While she continuously attempts to gain things onto her side by getting Vasu married to her niece Shweta, Vasu’s paternal cousin Vennela, who is completely in love with him, wants to marry him.
Will Vasu fall in Rajeshwari’s trap? Will Vennela be the protector of Vasu from Rajeshwari’s cruel intentions? Who among the two –Shweta and Vennela – will win over Vasu? Everything will be revealed gradually as the story proceeds.
