Virendra Saini takes over as Executive Director and Head of Triton, Mumbai

Saini will drive growth by partnering with new brands and working with existing ones that are ambitious to make it to the big league

Communication agency Triton Communications has elevated Virendra Saini to lead its flagship office in Mumbai as Executive Director and Head of Triton.

Incorporated in 1991 by Ali Merchant and Munawar Syed, Triton has a 25-year track record of partnering with several brands creating iconic campaigns for Moov, Aquaguard, Set Wet, Fortune, NECC and a host of others.

Syed said, “We have always believed in nurturing homegrown talent and recognising potential leaders. Virendra has been with us for the last 22 years and I have watched him grow in capability and stature. I am confident our Mumbai operations will thrive under the fresh, energetic leadership that Virendra will provide."

Responding with his characteristic candour, Ali Merchant said, “Virendra is a true Tritonite with a deep understanding of the company’s core strengths. He is an ideal flag-bearer of Triton’s largest operations. His knowledge and ability to effectively partner with our clients in enhancing their brand value and market shares have earned him his stripes. I know Virendra will not spare any efforts to move the needle, and build our Mumbai office into a stronger, more resilient force, not only within our network, but in the industry we operate in. With him, it’s not going to be business as usual.”

Saini spoke with his usual humility, “It is an honour to be entrusted with the mandate for our largest operation. We are a brand that has made many brands famous against well-established competition. Many of them have gone on to become household names.  My agenda is to drive growth by partnering with new brands and working with existing ones that are ambitious to make it to the big league.  We are fortunate to have long standing and existing relationships with our leading clients. I would like to further consolidate, nurture and strengthen these relationships to help our clients achieve their business and brand objectives.”

Saini has worked across categories like food, beverages, white goods, retail, hospitality, healthcare, automobiles, finance and lifestyle. He has been the account lead on some of Triton’s largest clients like Eureka Forbes, Adani Wilmar and Yes Bank.
