Indian Super League has partnered with Facebook to launch augmented reality masks for fans, thus becoming the first entity in the country to implement this technology on the social media platform. This initiative will provide fans with a unique opportunity to express their support for their favorite club. ISL followers will now be able to exhibit their club’s colours through state-of-the-art 3D face masks using Facebook’s augmented reality camera.
The face masks, which can be applied to photos and videos, will be available to fans of all 10 Hero ISL Clubs across the globe. Fans of ATK, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC and NorthEast United FC, can express their allegiance using facemasks, which utilise club colours and their anthem to give fans a distinctive opportunity to back their team.
The augmented reality masks on Facebooks were officially launched in India with ISL, thus becoming the first entity in the country to implement this technology on the social media platform.
To use Club’s mask on Facebook, one has to swipe right on Facebook newsfeed to open the new Facebook camera and tap on the magic wand icon to bring up the tray of effects for the camera.
