Zivame has appointed Sumeet Yadav as the Executive Chairman. Yadav will strengthen Zivame’s efforts in diversifying its portfolio and furthering growth by intensifying its omni-channel presence.
Yadav has had a successful track record of launching and building international retail brands in India. He would be joining Zivame from Nando’s, a leading F&B brand, where he is the CEO for India. In his previous roles, Yadav has been the Country Head for Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica.
“It gives me immense pride in taking up this new responsibility. This is an exciting time for the industry, which is going through tremendous evolution, with digitisation playing a disruptive role in influencing business dynamics and consumer engagement. Zivame has been a leader in this field with technology and data science playing a central role in its strategy of building great consumer engagement systems. In a short span of time it is already available in over 250 outlets in trade and 20 exclusive Zivame studios in key cities. It would be a fascinating journey as Zivame truly fulfils its potential as the leading lingerie brand in the market,” said Yadav on his appointment.
Commenting on the appointment, Shilpa Kulkarni, Director, Zivame, said, “We are excited to have Sumeet strengthen the team at Zivame. Sumeet brings a wealth of experience in the apparel industry and we look forward to his contribution in solidifying Zivame as a leading omni channel woman’s brand in the industry.”
Commenting on the business, Shaleen Sinha, CEO, Zivame, said, “Zivame products have seen an annualised growth of 74% in the last nine months of FY 17. This success of Zivame is a result of its continual endeavour towards building a strong brand play, driven by diversification in novel categories, a differentiated product strategy and a strong omni channel foray. As a brand, ‘Fit For All’ remains our ultimate credo that creates an unmatched consumer traction. Sumeet coming on board would add further momentum to Zivame’s growth story and take the brand to greater heights.”
Launched in 2011 with lingerie e-commerce, Zivame has now extended into multiple categories and channels. With its presence in about 20 retail stores and about 250 trade (multi brand outlets), Zivame is growing fast in the lingerie market space.
