Umang Bedi, Managing Director, India and South Asia, Facebook, had decided to move on from the company after a stint of 14 months. He had joined the company in July 2016, from Adobe, where he was Managing Director, South Asia, Adobe Inc.
He had replaced Kirthiga Reddy who moved to the US to take up another role at the headquarters of Facebook.
Though Facebook has announced the exit of Bedi, it has said that he will stay on till December 2017 for a smoother transition. An official statement released by the company, said, “We confirm that Umang Bedi will be leaving his role and Facebook at the end of this year. He’s built a really strong team and business during his time with us, and we wish him all the best.”
Bedi, armed with over two decades of experience in marketing and leadership roles at various technology multinational companies, started his career at Satyam Computers.
