Hindustan Times Editor-in-Chief Sukumar Ranganathan has appointed Livemint’s Executive Editor Jose Martin Tharakan as the Executive Editor of Hindustantimes.com who will be responsible for all the digital operations of Hindustan Times. Tharakan had joined Mint around its launch in 2007.
In an internal communication to the company staffers, Ranganathan said, “All digital department heads in Hindustan Times will report to him while Jose will report to me.”
Ranganathan, who was Mint Editor before taking over as Editor-in-Chief of Hindustan Times from Bobby Ghosh, also took over the leadership of the HT digital newsroom on October 23.
