Wieden+Kennedy to handle creative duties for Budweiser and Haywards 5000 in India

The account will be handled by the agency’s Delhi office. The company is trying to redefine the brand Haywards 5000 in India

AB InBev has chosen Wieden+Kennedy Delhi as the agency on record for two of its brands in India - Budweiser and Haywards 5000. The agency will work on the strategy and integrated creative duties of both brands, as part of the mandate.

Kartikeya Sharma, Marketing Director, AB InBev said, “The Indian market is growing rapidly amongst other Budweiser global markets, and Wieden's drive, energy and expertise completely matches ours at this point. Combined with their creative excellence, we can only look forward to putting out some great work for both Budweiser and Haywards 5000, and further expanding our footprint in the country."

“It’s an exciting opportunity to get to work on two iconic beer brands that have helped define and shape culture in their own unique ways. We look forward to further strengthening their legacy within the ever so thirsty Indian market,” said Sidharth Loyal, Managing Director, Wieden+Kennedy.

Budweiser was introduced by Adolphus Busch in 1876 and still demands the same care and high quality, exacting standards. What began as an American original 139 years ago is a global brand today, enjoyed by consumers in 85 countries. In accordance with its original recipe, a Budweiser is aged over Beechwood chips for 21 days which results in a perfectly balanced flavor and a crisp, clean refreshing taste. Budweiser is considered the world’s most valuable brand in its category.

Haywards 5000 is one of the leading beer brands in India and has been fuelling the resolve of millions to move to the next level in their lives. It is an iconic strong beer brand with a heritage of over 40 years, and was acquired by AB InBev post a merger with SABMiller in 2015. The company is now redefining the brand in India.
