Cannes Lions 2017: India fetches 16 shortlists in Film, Film Craft, Radio and Creative Effectiveness

There are four shortlists in film category, five in Creative Effectiveness, six in Radio and one in Film craft. There is no shortlist from India for Digital Craft Lions

Cannes Lions 2017: India fetches 16 shortlists in Film, Film Craft, Radio and Creative Effectiveness

2017 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced shortlists for the Film, Radio, Film Craft, Digital Craft, Creative Effectiveness Lions on its fifth day. Taproot Dentsu, Wieden+Kennedy, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy & Mather, BBH India and Grey have two shortlists each. BBDO has three and McCann Worldwide has one shortlist for the day. There is no shortlist in the Digital Craft category from India.

India has four shortlists in the film category. Taproot Dentsu has two shortlists for the campaign ‘Adidas Odds’ for Adidas. Wieden+Kennedy also has a shortlist for the ‘Da Da Ding’ campaign for Nike. BBDO India also has a shortlist for the ‘#ReleaseThePressure’ campaign for PepsiCo’s Mirinda.

There are five shortlists in the Creative Effectiveness category. BBDO secured two shortlists for the campaign ‘Dads- #ShareTheLoad’ campaign and ‘Ariel Share The Load: A Social Movement To Remove The Cultural Stain of Gender’ campaign for P&G’s Ariel Matic. Leo Burnett also has two shortlists for ‘Bajaj V- The Nation’s Bike’ campaign for Bajaj Auto. Ogilvy & Mather also secured a shortlist for the campaign ‘Beauty Tips by Reshma’ for ‘Make Love Not Scars’.

Wieden+Kennedy is the only shortlist from India for their ‘Da Da Ding’ campaign for Nike in the Film Craft category.

India made it big in the radio category with six shortlists. BBH India has two shortlists for ‘Paragliding’ and ‘Marathon’ campaigns done for Abbott India. Grey India also has two shortlists for the campaign ‘Candy Class/Term 2’ for Radio City 91.1 FM. McCann Worldgroup secured a shortlist for the campaign ‘Dermaclinix-The Scientist’ for Dermaclinix Hair Transplant Clinic. Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘#NotMusicToMyEars’ campaign for RNW Media to made the cut for Radio Lions shortlists.
