India ranked #14 at the 2017 One Show Awards with a total of 240 points earned from 36 winning entries. Indian agencies bagged one Gold, one Silver and six Bronze pencils along with 28 Merit Awards. A Gold Pencil at The One Show carries a weightage of 25 points while a Silver earns 15 and Bronze carries 10 points. Five points are given to each of the Merit Awards.
Bajaj Auto’s ‘The Nation’s Bike’ was the only Gold pencil winner for India in Intellectual Property while ‘Reuniting Memories from 1947’ by OLX won a Public Relations Silver.
The bronze winners from India were ‘The Dancing Letters’ from Maharashtra Dyslexia Association in Design; Radio City’s Candy Class in Radio; P&G India’s Dads #Sharetheload in Social Media, Public Relations and Moving Image Craft. Nike India’s Da Da Ding won a Bronze pencil in Moving Image Craft.
This year, there were 314 finalists from 29 countries, selected from 21,844 total entries.
