Top advertising agencies, including JWT, Contract, Fountainhead marketing and Goldmine advertising, are vying for the creative duties of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mygov.in portal.
The scope of work includes media planning and execution. The selected agency will be responsible for the creative for the print campaign of the portal, getting eminent personalities to write magazine articles, selecting bloggers to write on the platform and running the social media and other digital campaigns. The tender has been issued by Ministry of Electronics and Information and Technology.
"Several top agencies have evinced interest in bidding for the duties. The presentation was made last week. We will soon shortlist the agencies," said a senior government official.
MyGov platform, envisaged by Modi, is a first-of-its-kind participatory governance initiative involving the common citizen at large. The idea of MyGov brings the government closer to the common man by the use of online platform, creating an interface for healthy exchange of ideas and views involving the common citizen and experts with the ultimate goal to contribute to the social and economic transformation of India.
MyGov has more than 1.78 million users who contribute their ideas through discussions and also participate through the various earmarked tasks. In addition to this, the platform gets more than 10,000 posts per weeks on various issues, which are analysed and put together as suggestions for the departments concerned that are able to transform them into actionable agenda. Recently, a Mygov townhall was held by the Prime Minister.
