Colors celebrates fifth Golden Petal Awards with star power and glitz

A transgender’s struggle for her identity, the trials and tribulations of a misunderstood god, making ‘Indiawale’ the true heroes of the country and introducing an app-based live singing reality show. This is just a fraction of the different narratives unleashed by Colors in 2016 that received strong audience support.

The Hindi General Entertainment Channel has, over the past year, unlocked entertainment avenues through its line-up of fiction and non-fiction offerings. And honouring the outstanding talent across genres, Colors recently celebrated the fifth Colors Golden Petal Awards. Viewers will get a chance to witness the magnificence of the awards later this month on the channel.

Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, said, “There is no greater joy than celebrating a year filled with many achievements and milestones. The 5th Colors Golden Petal Awards recognised the efforts of every show’s cast and production team, and serves as a motivator urging them to continue to put their best foot forward every day to deliver path-breaking entertainment. It is, after all, their contribution that makes Colors one of India’s favourite Hindi General Entertainment channel! We would like to thank our presenting sponsor Dabur Glucose D for extending their support.”

This year, the viewers were transported to a ‘Snow Wonderland.’ With the theme being straight out of a fairy tale, the evening saw Bollywood and TV biggies like Jacqueline Fernandez, Malaika Arora, Diljit Dosanjh, Mouni Roy, Rubina Dilaik, Juhi Parmar, Ssharad Malhotra, Salil Ankola, Sidharth Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Mohan Kapur, Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran, Roshni Sahota, Helly Shah, Jigyasa Singh and many more walk the red carpet.
