40 finalists from India at APAC Effie Awards 2017

One hundred and thirty-eight entries emerged as finalists and will be contending for metals at the 2017 APAC Effie Awards. The finalists are represented by agencies from 13 countries, with India grabbing 40 entries.
Dominating the list are BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather and Mullen Lowe Lintas. There are multiple entries on the list from agencies like TBWA, McCann Worldgroup, Grey Group and independent agencies such as Medulla Communications and Affinity.
From India, Mullen Lowe Lintas had the highest number of finalists with 15. It was followed by Ogilvy & Mather with eight finalists. The Leo Group had five while McCann Worldgroup India had four finalists and BBDO three. Medulla Communication, Publicis Communications, JWT and TBWA\India too had entries.
Awards Chairman, Anthony Wong commented, “It is inspiring to see the quality of the work getting better each year. The jury no doubt had a crucial and difficult task in selecting the best works that represents the finest and most effective in the Asia Pacific region. My heartiest congratulations to all finalists and we can't wait to unveil the winners on the awards night.”
The finalists are determined after two rounds of judging from entries submitted across the region. Headed by the Awards Chairman, Anthony Wong of Ogilvy & Mather Group, the jury also comprises six Heads of Jury – Ashish Bhasin of Dentsu Aegis, Ike Kwon of Kia Motors, Jean-Paul Burge from BBDO Asia, Kitty Lun of Facebook, Nicole McMillan of The Wrigley Company and Ross Jackson of Bank of New Zealand, together with some 150 top advertising professionals and marketers in Asia Pacific.
The second round of judging held last week brought together over 60 judges to Singapore over three days. The judging round witnessed robust and stimulating discussions in every panel to deliberate on the entries which stood out among the rest.
Winners will be announced at the Awards to be held at Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore on 21 April 2017. The complete list of finalists can be viewed here.
