Mohanty, who has spent 18 years in the advertising and design industry, will be based in Delhi

Sambit Mohanty has joined J Walter Thompson as National Creative Director. Former Creative Head at DDB Mudra, North, he will be based in JWTâs Delhi office.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) New Delhi, Mohanty has spent 18 years in the advertising and design industry. In these 18 years he has worked across verticals, including mainstream, digital and shopper marketing.
Commenting on the new appointment, Senthil Kumar, Chief Creative Officer, JWT India, said, âSambit was the youngest and more importantly the hungriest of all the potential creative leaders we considered for the NCD role, based in Delhi. Sambit will work with me and ignite fresh energy into the JWT India creative product. He has the ambition and the drive to champion pioneering ideas and path-breaking solutions for all our clients.â
Mohanty has earlier worked for organisations like McCann Worldwide, Bates Asia, Leo Burnett, Publicis Advertising and Lowe Lintas among others.
Mohanty has also won the Coveted Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils, Spikes Asia, Ad Stars Asia Awards, Goafest Gold Abbies and Kyoorius Blue Elephants. He has also won several IAA Olive Crown Golds, Marketing Effectiveness Effie Golds and APAC Effie Silver Awards for brands like Volkswagen, Adidas, Coca Cola and Unicef among many others.
