Infectious has been taken aboard as the creative agency on record (AoR) by Zee Media’s new channel WION. The agency won the account without any multi-agency pitch.
WION was announced by Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) in March, 2016, when it positioned the channel as World Is Our News. The channel was officially announced on December 8, 2016 with the tagline, ‘Be One With the World’.
The agency has already started working on the campaign for the channel. The print campaign was launched on December 8, while the TVCs and digital leg of the campaign will soon be launched.
Nisha Singhania, Founder, Infectious, said, “WION is a very prestigious win for us. It is an extremely differentiated offering targeted at the global citizens and it is an honour for us to work on it.”
The account was won by the agency about a fortnight back.
The presentation of content is innovative with use of visuals, timelines, graphics, on-ground live coverages, 360-degree interactive videos, flying drones and story app. The channel has interactive content to encourage participation from the viewer's end. A big focus of the platform is on user-generated content through its ‘Citizen-Journalism App.’
