Sakal Media Group has appointed Krishna Menon as Chief Marketing Office with effect from December 12, 2016.
Menon will be handling all events (sales/ revenue/ production and execution across SMG), and also the Delivering Change Foundation marketing activities, Sakal Labs Management for all the media businesses like TV, print, digital online publications and events.
Menon replaces Shailesh Amonkar who left the organisation in March this year. Based in Mumbai, Menon will report to Pradeep Dwivedi, CEO, Sakal Media Group.

Confirming the appointment, Dwivedi said, “We are delighted to have Menon on board as CMO. His extensive experience across multiple media businesses in sales and marketing will provide us a definite edge in serving our advertisers and readers alike. His understanding of the Maharashtra market will also be an advantage in sustaining and growing our leadership position.”

Menon comes aboard Sakal Media Group from Asianet News Network where he was working as Vice-President, Sales and Brand Solutions. He has an experience of more than 17 years in the sales and marketing fields in television, print, FM radio, brand activations, digital VAS and telecom with well-known brands such as BPL Cellular, Onmobile Global, E18-Network 18 Media, Radio Mirchi and Divya Marathi.
