With Arnab Goswami moving out, Times Now is all set to announce Rahul Shivshankar as his successor. Shivshankar has put in his papers at NewsX as Editor-in-Chief. Sources close to the development confirmed to BestMediaInfo that Shivshankar will be the new face of Newshour on Times Now.

When contacted, Shivshankar confirmed his move from NewsX but refrained from commenting about his next assignment.

This will be Shivshankar's second stint with Times Now. In his first stint, he worked closely with Goswami before he quit the channel as Senior Editor to join Headlines Today (now India Today Television) as Executive Editor.

Shivshankar joined NewsX as Managing Editor in September 2013 and was elevated to the role of Editor-in-Chief after a year.

In a career spanning over 20 years, Shivshankar has written several comment pieces on current affairs and extensively documented the attack on Nariman House in Mumbai on November 26, 2008 in an anthology of hard-hitting investigative narratives published by Roli Books.
