Indigo Consulting, Leo Burnett Groupâs full-service digital agency, has brought on board Rajesh Ghatge as Chief Executive Officer. In his new mandate, Ghatge will lead over 300 employees across Indigo Consulting and Indigo iStrat. He will report to Saurabh Varma, Chief Executive Officer, Leo Burnett, South Asia and will be based in Mumbai.

Ghatge has a staggering 24 years of experience, 18 of which were spent in the activation and digital business, and two in the technology start-up world. Ghatgeâs previous stint was with start-up, iCare Life, where he was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. The company has created a technology platform to skill, certify and find employment for school dropouts and contract workers and transform them into professional caregivers and chauffeurs.

Having begun his career in marketing and sales in the FMCG and Pharma sectors, in 1997, he co-promoted Bates CHI & Sercon (erstwhile Sercon). Under his leadership, the company leveraged technology and digital for activation marketing and demand generation and grew to become a top-ranked agency in India and Singapore. Bates CHI & Sercon also gathered prestigious laurels such as the âBest Brand Promotion Agencyâ (ET), the B2B Marketing Award (London) and DMA (Asia and India).
Ghatge has extensive knowledge and experience in brand activation, digital and retail marketing, web and app-enabled products and services and the training domain. He has led award-winning campaigns for large brands like P&G, Colgate, Oracle, Nokia, Dell and Castrol.
An alumnus of the Institute of Rural Management in Anand, Ghatge has an MBA degree. Outside his work, he is involved in leveraging technology for social impact. He loves yoga and volunteering in his spare time.
