The Clio Awards that recognises innovation and creative excellence in advertising, design and communication annually has announced the recipients of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for 2016. From India, Taproot Dentsu has won the Silver and McCann Worldgroup India has won the Bronze. The Clio Awards are to be hosted on September 28.
Taproot Dentsu's work 'Newspaper works best in Outdoor' for IOAA (Indian Outdoor Advertising Association) bagged the Silver for the print technique under the photography category. It may be recalled that the campaign had won the Gold Lotus in Photography at Adfest 2016 and had secured two shortlists at Cannes Lions 2016 for Print and Publishing Lions.
Santosh Padhi, Co-Founder and CCO, Taproot Dentsu, said, “The campaign has won quite a few awards locally and internationally. Therefore, we had good hopes from Clio, which is one of the reputed international creative awards shows. We are very delighted to win the Silver. We are happy and sad at the same time, to be the only Indian agency to win Silver this year for India. I wish India had more metals.”
McCann India has been declared the Bronze winner for 'The Dancing Letters' campaign for Maharashtra Dyslexia Association. It has won the award for direct marketing under the brand design medium. Click here to watch the dancing letters.

Earlier this year, McCann Worldgroup India had bagged a Silver and Bronze for 'The Dancing Letters' for Maharashtra Dyslexia Association in the Design category at Cannes Lions 2016.
At Clio Awards this year, Indian agencies had secured a total of four shortlists.
