In a recent change at the leadership level in The India Today Group, Manoj Sharma,Â Group Business Head,Â India Today Group, has been elevated to the role of Publishing Director, LMIL â€“ India Today Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for addressing Revenue Maximizations, driving Cost Efficiencies and building Brand Salience & flagship magazine brands India Today English, India Today Hindi, India Today Supplements, Business Today, Robb Report, Auto Today and Readerâ€™s Digest will be under his purview.
Sharma carries 25 plus years of rich experience in Sales, Marketing, Distribution and overall Business Management of Multimedia Platforms like Newspapers, Magazines, TV & Digital Platforms.
In his previous Role as a Group Business Head with the group, Sharma managed YOY growth despite difficult macro conditions and created new revenue streams for India Today on a sustainable basis.
Sharma, who began his third stint with the group as business head of Mail Today in 2011, has spent almost his entire career with India Today Group.
Sharma firstÂ joined India Today in 1990 and got to head the launch of quite a few of their new products like â€˜Cosmopolitanâ€™ and â€˜Todayâ€™, and the afternoon newspaper. Sharma also worked with CNBC TV 18 for a year, where he was Business Development Head for the North and East markets.
