SPND, the distribution arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), has been ranked the No. 1 company in the media industry by the Great Place To Work Institute, for 2016. The company has won the laurels for two consecutive years and is also the only media company to feature among India's Top 50 'Best Companies to Work For, 2016'.

The award was presented by the global research organisation, Great Place To Work Institute, India, in association with The Economic Times. It is a firm that assists organisations to identify, create and sustain great workplaces through the development of high-trust cultures. In its 13th edition, India's 'Best Companies to Work For' study attracted participation from 791 companies, ranging across 20 industries, including 20 companies from the media industry alone.

SPND undertook the Trust Index Survey that surpassed the average industry percentage of positive responses measured through five parameters -- credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
