Shibu Shivanandan, one of the co-founders of Resultrix (now acquired by Publicis Groupe), who quit the agency in February this year, has announced the launch of his independent digital marketing firm, PivotRoots. It is a full-service digital marketing agency powered by 'data & technology, fuelled by design thinking'.

Shivanandan is accompanied by Hetal Khalsa and Dhruvi Joshi, who join him as co-founders in the venture.

Within a span of three months, PivotRoots is already working with brands like Pidilite, ICICIBank, Fourseven.com, MeruCabs, HoneyTwigs and Loylty Rewardz.

PivotRoots will focus on data driven marketing and design thinking led strategies as they firmly believe this will be the future of the digital domain and can be a complete game changer if used smartly across all platforms and media channels.

As Managing Director, Shivanandan is responsible for the overall growth of the organization and drives specialized teams for technology and an experiential lab.

Hetal Khalsa leads the entire experiential team as Chief Creative Officer and gets Design Thinking practice to life for new as well as existing solutions or products. She is a creative digital specialist with 15 years of experience, having worked in Consulting, Digital Media, Mass Transportation & Real Estate sectors. Having cross-domain experience in a variety of geographies, her expertise lies in providing 360º brand experiences that reach touch-points across multi-channel experiences. She has undergone an executive programme in Design Thinking from IIM-Ahmedabad and strongly believes in the design thinking approach and that data led experience is the future of creating digital experience.

Dhruvi Joshi, Head – Media & Innovation, is responsible for leading the brand and performance media business and setting up the innovation lab at PivotRoots. If there is anything that defines life for Joshi, it is the intensity with which she pursues her passions. She has eight years of experience in the digital marketing domain. Her agency experience has enabled her to learn the tricks of the trade and work on multiple industries, while her client side experience ensures that she understands the strategic and business aspect of any digital campaign. Her work has won her multiple accolades at industry events.

Shivanandan said, “Understanding consumers better through data and providing them the right experience across all digital channels (paid, owned & earned) will be the only way brands would be able to sustain, differentiate and grow in this cut-throat digital space. We at PivotRoots aim to create products and processes to bridge this gap for brands.”

Operating from its head office based in Mumbai, PivotRoots looks at expanding in Delhi, Bangalore and other international markets like SEA & MENA in the near future.
