After taking a step towards empowering investors in Gujarat with 'Kem Cho Gujarat' a few weeks back, ET Now is back with another on-ground and on-air initiative. This time felicitating the heroes of brokerage houses with 'Dealing Room Heroes.'

A first-in-its-kind industry welfare initiative, ET Now, the leading English business news channel from the Times Network, inaugurated 'Dealing Room Heroes' by felicitating top five performers at IIFL (India Infoline) on June 9, 2016. The activity has earned a lot of interest from brokerage houses. Currently there are nine brokerage houses that are a part of 'Dealing with Heroes' while more firms are expected. Some of the other brokerage houses which are a part are Motilal Oswal and Kotak Securities among others.

The initiative is a concept by ET Now hence it does not want to look for sponsors for the event. Sharing additional insights, Shantanu Gangane, Head of Marketing, Times Now, ET Now and Zoom, Times Network, said, “As India's #1 business news channel, we are equally dedicated towards the welfare of both, our viewers and the industry. Dealing Room Heroes is an initiative aimed at encouraging the people who power the trades and keep the industry growing healthily. As a core constituent of the eco-system, ET Now hopes to connect more closely with these stakeholders by not only recognising their contribution, but also helping them shine in the limelight.”

Dealing Room Heroes will be a high frequency vignette on the channel apart from felicitating the hero's on-ground. It will be spread throughout the day, with a higher frequency during market hours, Gangane shares. “We intend to run this initiative till September while we will look for newer firms for the second half of the year.”

ET Now recently hosted a successful second season of 'Kem Cho Gujarat' which interacts with investor's on-ground in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The channel has similar plans for this initiative as well. Not only that, the channel intends to localise the format for different cities in the coming months.

Sharing details on the marketing front, Gangane said, “We will be marketing across our broadcast network apart from print ads, a digital and public relations push and trade mailers. We will also look at magazines relevant to brokerage houses like the 'Dalal Street' magazine.”

The idea behind felicitating them are these heroes who are usually deep inside their terminals analysing the market trends to make the best calls for their organisations and/or clients but are never in the lime light. Hence a felicitation, jointly by their management and ET Now anchors.

The Dealing Room Heroes will receive a trophy and token of appreciation from ET Now along with a short profile video aired on the channel. These profile videos will serve to give the heroes a wider amplification and a larger-than-life substantiation of this recognition.

Complementing the channel's performance leading the genre over the past few weeks across all key metrics, Dealing Room Heroes is another offering by the channel which is in line with its leadership stance of industry welfare.
