The sixth edition of the Aditya Birla Financial Services Group (ABFSG) was a rocking night with a foot massage and some games engaging the audience, apart from stand-up comedian Deep Chhabria who entertained the guests.

At an event organised in Mayfair Banquets, Mumbai last night, ABFSG felicitated its agencies on the work they have been doing for the company. This year was different from last year. The number of entries was lesser as the categories were fewer. The group decided to keep only two categories wherein all participating agencies competed with each other.

While last year there were 76 entries, this year there were only 40 with 11 participating agencies against last year's 13. Taproot India, pi communications, Hansa Cequity, 9 point design, Resultrix, Ketchum Sampark, Mindshare, TrackDDB, The Social Street, Eikona and DDB MudraMax participated.

The categories were split into Agency Eureka and People Eureka. Agency Eureka won eight awards and people Eureka won seven awards.

The judging process had two rounds. The first round was conducted with marketing heads of ABFSG while the second round consisted of senior marketing heads of the agencies.

Speaking about the awards, Ajay Kakar, Chief Marketing Officer, Aditya Birla Group, Financial Services, said, “It is our way of thanking all our partners for all the hard work they do to make our business and brand progress. There was a wider spectrum of work that was seen this year.”

Speaking about his win, Santosh Padhi, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Taproot India, said, “It's a wonderful initiative to applaud partners by having such yearly boosters. Gestures like these will certainly make all their partners give their extra bit on each and every single brief they work on. I would say things like these are new age thinking that goes beyond the traditional relationship.”

Commenting on his win, Arjun Tejwani, Digital Media Manager, Mindshare, said, “It feels superb to win the award. We tried to push so much innovation from our agency and finally getting recognised feels great.”

Chandrakant Mathakar from pi communications credited his success to his team.
