Sandeep Amar quits India.com as CEO

Amar was promoted as CEO in February this year. His resignation follows a string of exits at ZEEL

After recent exits at the senior level at ZEEL's digital arm including Zee Digital Convergence CEO Debashish Ghosh, Business Head Sharlton Menezes and DittoTV Business Head Manoj Padmanabhan, now India.com CEO Sandeep Amar is learnt to have put in his papers. Amar was elevated as CEO role in February this year.

With 18 years of experience in media and digital, Amar had joined India.com in September 2013 as COO. Amar's digital career spans across India's leading digital companies such as Times Group's simplymarry.com as VP & Head - Marketing, Audience and Sales Strategy, Business Head; Citigroup as AVP - Internet Marketing and Head – Internet Channel; and Indiatimes.com.

Starting his career with The Times Group as Senior Officer – Sales and Marketing, Amar has also worked with Hindustan Times and Zee Telefilms in sales and marketing.
