After launching a kidâs app earlier this month, nexGTv, Indiaâs largest subscription-led video entertainment app, announced its acquisition of three Bengali channels â Rupashi Bangla, Dhoom Music and News Time Bangla from Brand Value. It also acquired Oriya movie channel Alankar TV from Odisha Television limited.
nexGTv will now hold the worldwide rights to broadcast these channels for its users across the globe through its web and mobile platforms. Ruposhi Bangla is a general entertainment channel and Dhoom Music is a Bengali music channel. News Tie Bangla is a popular regional news channel in the state.
On the other hand, Alankar TV is a 24-hour Oriya movie channel of the Odisha Television Network. Â With the acquisition of these channels, nexGTv has strengthened its content library while giving a highly curated entertainment solution to users globally.
Speaking on the announcement, Abhesh Verma, CEO, nexGTv, said, âWe at nexGTv enjoy a rich, diverse consumer base both within and outside the country. As such, our endeavour has always been to curate and deliver highly relevant and popular entertainment solutions to our viewership. We are confident that the latest addition will add greater value to the mobile viewing experience of our users by granting them access to even more regional content to satisfy their entertainment needs.â
