Zindagi, a channel within the Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel) network, will premiere two new high dramas from March 21, on how love changes a life. 'Mere Humdum Mere Dost' will go on air at 7.20 PM and 'Meri Zindagi Hai Tu' will be telecast at 8.10 PM from Monday to Friday.
The first television serial is about an ordinary girl who grooms herself to become self-reliant and independent. The second show is about selfless love and sacrifice. Love, agony, sacrifice and pain are central to both the television shows.
'Mere Humdum Mere Dost' is based on Farhat Ishtiaq's novel by the same name. The Pakistani romantic drama directed by Shehzad Kashmiri and produced by Momina Duraid, revolves around a lonely young girl, who blossoms when she finds love. In the serial, Aimen (Sanam Jung) is a 20-year-old girl raised by her mother Zainab. Aimen loses her mother and has to go to live with her estranged father, Taufeeq, but he is unable to take her in as he has to leave the country.
Taufeeq requests his business partner, Haider, to take his daughter in, to which he willingly agrees. In Haider, Aimen finally finds a friend and a mentor, who not only helps her cope with her loss but also grooms her to be confident and independent.
They grow fond of each other, when Haider's ex-wife returns and expresses a wish to remarry him. Will Aimen and Haider unite? Will Aimen finally find a father's love and acceptance when Taufeeq returns? The show features Adnan Siddiqui, Sanam Jung, Hareem Farooq and Shamim Hilaly.
'Meri Zindagi Hai Tu' is an enthralling story, revolving around the life of Nazo (Aiza Khan). The two most important people in her life are her fiancée, Aman (Ahsan Khan) and her niece, Meenu (Maya Ali). After her sister and brother-in-law's sudden death, Nazo moves in with Aman and his family, with Meenu in tow.
Aman is devoted to Nazo and so showers his attention on her niece Meenu and soon becomes her friend and confidante. He becomes the object of her affection. Meenu turns so possessive about Aman, though, that she tries to mess up Nazo's relationship with him. The serial is based on Faiza Ifthikar's famous novel, 'Main Tera Khali Kamra Hun'.
