Sonali Malaviya, Head of Business Marketing, Twitter India, said, “Twitter is the ideal platform for marketers owing to its live, public, and conversational nature. Twitter Flight School is designed to inspire creativity, demonstrate best practices and help brands make the most of marketing on Twitter. Our online learning resource helps marketers develop high impact campaigns for brands, helps engage with consumers, and offers practical tips to understand this live ecosystem and to make the most of its real-time capabilities. Best of all, content is bite sized, customized for its audience and optimized for use on mobile devices.”

Tips for marketers

Twitter Flight School shares tips with marketing agencies on how to develop high-impact marketing campaigns for clients. The content has been tailored into bite-size modules to address different agency roles and functions, including senior leadership, account planning and campaign management.

Marketing agencies are being offered lessons on buying and execution. The tutorial shows agencies how to launch and optimize paid campaigns and how to drive business results and new opportunities.

Flight School shares tips on planning and strategy, showing marketing agencies how they could incorporate Twitter into their media plan to influence key decision makers. It offers a holistic approach to enhancing the marketing strategies of clients and creating ongoing business opportunities. It offers lessons for executive leadership, to inspire thought leadership in an evolving digital landscape and on learning how to use Twitter to differentiate a brand from the clutter.

Marketers who sign up for Flight School will also be offered tips and downloadable presentations they may use to develop campaign ideas and prepare for senior-level meetings. They will be offered an ‘On-Demand Resource Library’, with exclusive access to data, research, content and tools that could be built into presentations and used on the job.

Flight School also offers ‘A la Carte Courses’ on content, to keep marketers up-to-date with Twitter products and best practices. It goes without saying that the Twitter resources will only be available to Twitter account holders.

How to get started

Students begin by selecting a job-specific “flight path.” Executives can learn how to use Twitter to build their personal brands and inspire thought leadership, while mid-level marketers can brush up on day-to-day Twitter content planning and budget allocation. Both paths contain a handful of courses that take less than an hour to complete and can easily be done from a desk or a phone.

When marketers graduate, they’ll be ready to design, launch, and manage innovative Twitter campaigns to achieve goals ranging from awareness generation to sales. Marketers who complete the course will be recognized with a printable certificate and an official badge to display in their email signatures or on their LinkedIn profiles.
