McCann Worldgroup boosts leadership in Japan

McCann Worldgroup has announced that Hiroshi Namiki, Representative Director and Chairman of Momentum Japan, and Yasuyuki Katagi, Representative Director President & CEO of McCann Worldgroup Japan and McCann Erickson Japan, have been named as Co-Chairmen of McCann Worldgroup Japan, effective April 1, 2016.

Charles Cadell, who continues in his role as President of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, will move from Singapore to Tokyo to take on additional responsibilities as Representative Director, President & CEO of McCann Worldgroup Japan.

Cadell leads the APAC region along with Chairman Prasoon Joshi, who is also CEO of McCann Worldgroup India, and Vice-Chairman Jesse Lin, who is also Chairman of MRM//McCann APAC and CEO of McCann Worldgroup Greater China.

In his expanded role, Cadell will have overall responsibility for building on the strong integrated team of McCann Worldgroup agencies in Japan and continue to further their momentum. From his region-wide perspective, Cadell has increased cross-discipline integrated communications activity across APAC countries to successfully drive growth, a collaborative achievement recognized when Campaign recently named him 2015 Asia Pacific Agency Head of the Year.
