TlabsTLabs, India's tech start-up accelerator announced its 8th Batch which kicked-off in August with investments in 8 start-ups. This takes its portfolio size to 50 companies since its inception four years ago. Since its last batch, TLabs invested Rs 30 lakh under its accelerator model and upwards for some start-ups under seed or pre-series A rounds. Abhishek Gupta, Head, Tlabs, said, “Most of the companies that make it through our initial screening process have good traction to support their applications. Due to this, we are also receiving some very high potential start-ups for a seed stage round”.

The application process for this batch saw a great response, with more than 700 applications being received. “Selecting this batch of start-ups was probably the toughest so far for our team. A major reason for this is possibly the spike in the quality of talent which is taking the entrepreneurial plunge. We now see a lot of professionals giving up their corporate jobs to start-up and applying to us”, said Gupta.

TLabs opened the applications for its next batch on October 30, 2015.

TLabs is a startup accelerator and early stage seed-fund in India for internet and mobile technology start-ups which runs a structured and highly intensive four month mentoring program for these start-ups. Powered by a panel of more than 100 mentors that includes experienced entrepreneurs and domain experts, it offers a funding of Rs 30 lakh, a working space and a host of other benefits from prominent tech partners to the start-ups it accepts in the programme.
