JSW Steel is 'most envied' at Ogilvy India's third edition of Envies

With over 150 entries, 25 best works got awarded at Envies 2015. Postpickle.com takes home 'Envy For Good' title

The third edition of Envies, Ogilvy India's very own creative award, took place last evening in Mumbai's Renaissance hotel with the who's who of the industry attending the same.  Celebrating the best works done by Ogilvy & Mather India's creative teams since 2013, the Envies have always witnessed ruthless filtration by a host of luminaries from Indian advertising.

At the end of the adjudication, only 25 Envies are awarded, across all categories and disciplines. In its third edition, the Envies 2015 featured many more entries across disciplines, but the number of trophies awarded still remained 25.

The Jury involved eminent names like Karl Gomes, Founder and Chief Fanatic, Fanatics; Ashish Chakravarty, NCD, Contract India; Bobby Pawar, Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer, Publicis' Groupe;  Vikram Gaikwad, Founder, Underdog Communications; Pradyumna Chauhan, NCD, McCann Erickson; Senthil Kumar, NCD, J. W. Thompson and Raj Kamble, Founder and Chief Creative Officer - Famous Innovations.

Apart from the presence of renowned creative superstars from across India during the award ceremony, Envies 2015 also had an evening of inspiration that featured artist and designer Hanif  Kureshi, Dilip Chabria of Team Indus, India's official entrant for the Google X Lunar Prize, a performance from Agnee and a surprise appearance from Geeta Phogat, India's first Commonwealth Gold winning woman wrestler.

Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and Creative Director, Ogilvy South Asia, said, “I am really grateful to the Creative Directors of the industry who took time off to pick the best of Ogilvy for the Envies 2015. We have got great response and this year we received around 150 entries. There are chances that we would take Envies to other countries as well but that all depends upon time, need and demand.”

Ashish Chakravarty

Ashish Chakravarty, NCD, Contract India, said, “This has been the third year that I have judged Envies and every year the quality of work has been good. This year too we saw quite a few good campaigns like JSW Steel Limited's TVC with athlete Geeta Phogat and more.”
