Skybags, the youth brand from VIP Industries, is all geared to woo the audience with its latest campaign – 'My Style, My Way'. Increasing the attraction quotient, Skybags recently announced actor and youth icon Varun Dhawan as its brand ambassador.
The TVC has been created by Law & Kenneth Saatchi & Saatchi. Shot in Turkey, the TVC while showcasing the new collection encapsulates the youth's style, energy and attitude with a catchy soundtrack. The TVC went on air yesterday.
The ad shows Varun in a foreign country enjoying the sights when he misses the tourist bus. While he runs to catch the bus, the driver refuses to let him board it as he is late. Undeterred, Varun runs across town, dragging his stylish Skybag suitcase behind him, even hitching a ride on a scooter, till he catches up with the tourist bus. Finally, when the driver relents and lets him board the bus, Varun winks mischievously and walks away instead.
Expressing her views on the campaign, Radhika Piramal, Managing Director, VIP Industries, said, “Varun is a perfect replication of what Skybags stands for, a combination of style and charisma. Through this campaign we want to directly connect with the youth creating a portrait that mirrors their personality. We hope that we are successful in establishing a strong bond with the audience.”
Sudip Ghose, Vice-President, Marketing, VIP Industries, added here, “With more young customers travelling at an early age, styling in bags has become a necessity. From 'Travel gear', bags are moving to become 'Travel wear' today.”
Commenting on the campaign, Rahul Nangia, Chief Creative Officer (West & South), Law & Kenneth | Saatchi & Saatchi, said, “Skybags is for those who want nothing about their holiday to be dull, including their bags. Even if something goes wrong, they'll find a way to turn it around and have a good time. That's what Varun does in this film.”
The campaign will be promoted across TV, social media and OOH.
