Nestle’s Maggi, which was taken off the shelves across India not so long ago due to high MSG and lead content, has got a fresh lease of life with Gujarat and Karnataka lifting the ban on the noodle brand, paving the way for its return.
Nestle has been creating buzz for Maggi on social media stating how consumers had been missing their favourite ‘two-minute’ noodles. Very recently, a series of short videos were released with the tag line, ‘We miss you Maggi’, which seem to have gone viral on social media.
Now comes the news that Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, will pen a new comeback campaign for Maggi. While Nestle India has hired McCann Worldgroup to script Maggi’s comeback, Publicis Worldwide continues to be the noodle brand’s advertising agency. Sources close to the development have confirmed the news to BestMediaInfo.com.
Maggi has seen some endearing and memorable campaigns in the past; and now with ad-man Prasoon Joshi’s thoughts, the comeback campaign will surely be a wait and watch.
