Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet has lined up a special two-week programming schedule comprising comedy shows, films, music-based shows , interviews, cookery shows and other specials on the occasion of Onam.

In addition to exclusive programmes with popular actors like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Nivin Pauly, Jayaram, Kavya Madhavan, Kunchacko Biban and Maniyan Pillai Raju, one of the major highlights of Asianet's Onam 2015 offerings is eight movie premieres.

On August 27, also known as 'Uthradam Day', the channel will premiere four films – 'Bangalore Days' at 9.30 am, followed by 'Nagaravaridhi Naduvil Njan' at 1.30 pm and 'Ormayundo Ee Mugham' at 4 pm. In the evening, the channel will telecast 'Oru Vadakkan Selfi' at 7 pm, which will be followed by singer/ actress Rimi Tomy's Onam special 'Sell me the Answer' at 10 pm.

Other programmes on 'Uthradam Day' include 'Onakinnakkal' at 7.30 am, exclusive chat show with state award winner Sethulakshmi, 'Sethu Manassu', at 8 am, comedy fiction  with popular serial artistes, 'Colonel Sasi', at 8.30 am and a comedy skit of television artistes, 'Tappo Tippo Ponnonam', at 1 pm.

The following day (August 28), also known as 'Thiruvonam Day', will commence with an exclusive Onam special chat show with actress Asha Sarath at 7.30 am.

Movies for the day include 'Amayum Muyalum' at 9.30 am, 'Vellimoonga' at 1 pm, 'Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare ' at 4 pm and 'Ennum Eppozhum' at 7 pm.

The line-up of special programmes includes  'Onachithrangal' at 7 am, a special programme with movie 'Loham', featuring actor Mohanlal and the Loham team at 8 am, an exclusive Onam special programme with actor Jayaram, 'Panchari Pradaman', at 8.30 am , a comedy fiction, 'Prema Kumarikal Thrillinanu', at 1 pm and special comedy show, 'Chief Minister Maveli', at 10.30 pm.

The highlight of the Avittom day is a special episode of 'Badai Bungalow with Kavya Madhavan' at 9 am.

The other special programmes during Onam week include 'Sell Me The Answer' featuring Kalpana, Premy, Maniyan Pillai Raju and Mamukoya; Cookery show featuring leading film stars Siddique, Malavika Menon, Chandini, Archana, Apoorva Bose, Sasmskrithi and Anjali; and exclusive interviews with leading artistes.

Meanwhile, Asianet's sister channel, Asianet Plus, will also air special programmes to ring in the festivities of Onam. The channel will showcase exclusive interviews with leading artistes during the Onam weeks.

The bouquet of programmes includes special episodes of 'Raree Rareeram Raro', a reality show for kids and their mothers, 'Super Chef' and 'Tharapadam Chedoharam'.

On Uthradam Day, the channel will air movies 'North 24 Katham' at 9 am, 'Raja Rani' at 12 noon and 'Ring Master' at 6 pm. Programmes include 'Manjimayolom Chinganilavu' at 8 am and 'Onattumundan' at 8.30 am.

'Thiruvonam Day' will commence with an exclusive Onam special programme, 'Laluvinte Onam Lalitham' at 8.30 am. Movies for the day include 'My Boss' at 9.00 am, 'Zakkriyayude Garbhinikal' at 12 noon and 'Nadodimannan' at 6 pm.

The network's movie channel, Asianet Movies, will air special programmes for the festival on Uthradam Day, including celebrity interviews and a bouquet of movies such as 'Samsaram Arogyathinu Hanikaram', 'Onnum Mindathe', 'Salala Mobiles', 'Philips & The Monkey Pen', 'Pullikulikalum Aattinkuttiyum' and 'Thenmavin Kombathu'.

On Thiruvonam Day, the channel will air 'Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty', 'Ulsaha Committee', 'Oru Indian Pranaya Kadha', 'Gods Own Country', 'Ohm Santhi Osana' and 'Chanthupottu'.
