TV18 Broadcast appoints Adil Zainulbhai as its Chairman

Zainulbhai replaces Manoj Mohanka, who will remain as a non-executive director with the company

TV18 Broadcast has brought on board Adil Zainulbhai, a Reliance Industries Independent Director, as its Chairman.

Zainulbhai replaces Manoj Mohanka, who had expressed his unwillingness to continue. TV18 disclosed this development in its regulatory filing. Mohonka will remain as a non-executive director with the company.

Zainulbhai brings with him more than four decades of experience. He'd retired as Chairman of McKinsey India after 34 years, 24 of which were in the US. Zainulbhai had joined McKinsey in 1979 straight out of HBS. He had set up the Minneapolis, Minnesota, office and later led the McKinsey office in Washington D.C., helping clients across sectors as diverse as telecommunications, consumer electronics, energy, banking, infrastructure and healthcare.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing, TV18 Broadcast has announced the appointment of Deepak Gupta as Company Secretary with effect from July 22, 2015.
