Giant-Umbrella

SAB TV has come up with an innovative idea to create buzz around its SAB Ke Anokhe Awards, which will be aired on the channel on July 31, 2015 at 9 pm. Sab TV has installed a 30-feet tall umbrella at the Carter Road promenade, Bandra West in Mumbai as a prelude to the SAB Ke Anokhe Awards.

Unveiled last week by SAB actors like Manav Gohil, Shruti Rawat, Punit Talreja and Sudeepa Singh, the umbrella is touted as the biggest in the world with a diameter of 60 feet and which can provide shelter to around 1,000 people under it. It took around 2,000 man hours and 600 meters of cloth to complete the umbrella. The structure is completely made of steel, weighing around 2,700 kg. Strong winds and heavy rains were some of the key challenges that the technicians had to face while constructing the umbrella at the venue.

Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP and Business Head, SAB TV, commented, “The SAB Se Anokha Umbrella symbolises our brand belief – 'Differentiation through Innovation'. Along with being unique, this umbrella can also provide shelter to hundreds of families from Mumbai's unpredictable rains. At SAB TV we have always come up with distinctive and creative ideas and the same reflects in all our campaigns, be it marketing, promotions or on-air content. The SAB Se Anokha Umbrella is a curtain raiser to the SAB Ke Anokhe Awards that celebrate uniqueness.”

This is not the first time that SAB TV has created a mega structure to promote its show properties. Recently, during the launch of their show 'Krishan Kanhaiya', the channel had unveiled the world's tallest Lord Krishna statue made out of 430 kg of butter.
